The assault caused the temporary shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, according to law enforcement.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a 23-year-old woman was detained for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured in the event. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.

Officers detained a man in his thirties for suspected robbery and assault near the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park briefly.
